We successfully simulated the mixed layer flow at ice shelf bottom and super-cooled water plume using large-eddy simulation (LES). Validation with CTD/LADCP observations was performed and LES results showed a similar trend and magnitude with proper turbulence cascading. There were two characteristics overturning eddies (94 m, 226 m) which were corresponds to negative heat flux and negative heat entrainment, respectively.en_US
