Eight compounds were isolated from the rare actinobacteria Streptacidiphilus carbonis isolated from the lichen Sphaerophorus globosus (Huds.) Vain. collected from the Antarctic. The isolated compounds include four cyclic dipeptides (1-4) and four alkaloids (5-8), and the structures of these compounds were determined by spectro-scopic analysis of NMR and MS, and by comparing with the reported data. All of the isolates (1-8) were reported for the first time from S. carbonis. The chemotaxonomical significance of the isolated constituents is also discussed.-
