dc.description.abstractThe taxonomic relationship between Nocardioides salarius CL-Z59T and Nocardioides basaltis J112T was established. The 16S rRNA gene sequences of the type strains showed 99.6% similarity. The ΔTm for genomic DNA-DNA hybridization of Nocardioides salarius CL-Z59T and Nocardioides basaltis J112T was 0.6?1.6oC, indicating that both strains belong to a single species. Phenotypic and chemotaxonomic characteristics showed no pronounced differences between the two species. Based on the results of the polyphasic approach, it is proposed that Nocardioides basaltis J112T is a later heterotypic synonym of Nocardioides salarius CL-Z59T. An emended description for the species Nocardioides salarius is given.ardioides salarius CL-Z59T and Nocardioides basaltis J112T was 0.6?1.6oC, indicating that both strains belong to a single species.
